Where do you want to go?

I hope to spend my retirement traveling the globe. There are so many places that I would love to visit.

Of course, I don’t plan on retiring anytime soon. I have too many questions to answer for my faithful listeners!

Until then, I’ll settle for seeing one or two new places each year. So, each January, I begin to think of where I will travel that year.

Needless to say, the decision isn’t easy. But the Internet is a great help. I can learn about the cultures and customs of far-off places.

I particularly like the New York Times’ Travel site. It lists more than 1,000 destinations worldwide.

You begin by selecting a destination. Then, you can read articles about your destination. Or, find local attractions, hotels and restaurants.

The site will even help you decide what time of year to visit a destination!

Unfortunately, the recession will make traveling unlikely for many of us this year. But it never hurts to dream of your future travels!
